BVI Traveller wanted to give our readers a current update on the status of the restaurants on Virgin Gorda including those that have reopened and those that still remained closed after Hurricane Irma. Fortunately, many of VG’s dining establishments were able to complete their rebuilds and open their doors in late 2017 or early 2018. Others, such as the Sugarcane Restaurant at Nail Bay did not reopen until 2019. Unfortunately a number of them, including Fat Virgin’s Cafe, Rock Cafe, Saba Rock Restaurant and those at the major resorts including Little Dix Bay, YCCS and the Bitter End Yacht Club, still remain closed. The good news for visitors and residents alike is that it looks like most of the restaurants took this opportunity to make a significant upgrade over their establishment’s pre-Irma version.
The next time you visit Virgin Gorda, either by land or by sea, check out the following restaurants and bars that are now open. Your taste buds will be rewarded!
