Canefield House is a beautifully presented and exceptionally well-maintained three-bedroom villa on the peaceful Greenbank Estate overlooking Brewer’s Bay in north-central Tortola. Occupying its own 10-acre plot some 850 feet above sea level, it was built during the early 1990s on land formerly used for sugar-cane cultivation – and it’s from this that it derives its name. This favoured position endows the house with truly stunning sea views, and even on the hottest days it benefits from welcome cooling breezes.
Large and as a result wonderfully spacious, the villa has three bedrooms, each fully air-conditioned, and between them these and the comfortable living areas can accommodate a total of eight guests in great comfort. Canefield House also offers an ideal location with less than 10 minutes’ drive from the beach, restaurants, bars and shops at Cane Garden Bay, and also Brewer’s Bay for its famously good snorkeling.

BVI Traveller was created in September of 2017 to help tourism in the British Virgin Islands recover from the devastation wrought by Hurricane Irma.
To that end, we met our goals. In the past 7 years there have been over 1.2 million visits to the website and over 3 million pages have been viewed. There are over 1,000 pages on the site featuring news posts and detailed listings on all hotels, villas, restaurants and sailing charters located in the BVI. The BVI Government and many business, hotels, villas and sailing charters have all agreed that the site “moved the needle on tourism” after Irma.
The site, however, has run its course. It has served its purpose by bringing visitors and local businesses together to rebuild the tourist industry and it is now time to shut down operations for good.
