Charming West Indian Architecture Plus Spectacular Views Create a Magical Atmosphere at Four Winds Villa

Four Winds is one of the oldest homes on the island, its bright colours and wood and stone construction making it a beautiful example of typical West Indian architecture. The magical atmosphere is something that is difficult to put into words though, people who are drawn to this house and never disappointed… on arrival our guests all say that no photos or words can conjure up the unique charm and quaintness, the spectacular views and the particularly addictive feeling of being far removed from the “real world”. Situated at the top of Soldier Hill, Four Winds is less than 5 minutes to the beaches of Cane Garden Bay and Brewers Bay and less than 10 minutes drive to Road Town. With the addition of a swimming pool (July 2013), you may not want to leave the property for your entire vacation! The property is comprised of 3 separate buildings joined by stone paths, decks and porches. Stepping through an arched gate in the stone wall one enters a covered alfresco seating area… a private, peaceful, idyllic oasis overlooking Cane Garden Bay, the Atlantic Ocean and a collection of islands disappearing into the distance.

From the covered porch one can take the steps up to the Stone House and the Lime House or enter the Main House directly ahead. The Main House offers an open plan kitchen and living room, recently fitted with custom cupboards and breakfast bar. The living room is light and airy, there is a comfortable seating area with flatscreen TV and a dining table / work space to one side. Paintings and artwork by various local artists adorn the walls. The bathroom is also accessed from this main living area.

Various louvre and sliding doors offer access to the gardens, the master suite and the dining porch. The custom dining table comfortably seats 8, overlooking the ocean and is flanked by chaise lounges, perfect for a quiet afternoon nap.

The Master Suite consists of a dressing room, again with custom cabinetry and a cozy bedroom with a queen bed looking out through the open French doors to the ocean.

The Stone House offers twin beds which can be joined to make a king. The Lime House has been newly decorated with a custom built four poster bed and cabinetry. It also has a quiet deck with 2 sun loungers and ocean views. These two bedrooms share a bathroom and alfresco shower.

The gardens that surround Four Winds are well established and always being added to, the flowers and fruit trees fill the air with a distinctly tropical aroma. Everything seems just as magical at night with the fairy lights and carefully positioned uplighting.

The house is equipped with wifi, land-line for local calls, a local cell phone that you are welcome to use and top-up and cable TV. Maid Service is once midweek and she will wash all the linens and towels as well as doing a general clean throughout the house.
